Prototyping
Extensive use of prototyping is part of our design methodology.
Prototyping techniques include: 3D solid modeling for virtual
prototyping; Stereolithography and Selective Laser Sintering for
rapid physical prototypes; and simulation / emulation for rapid
firmware development. Prototypes developed are fully realized
working models, suitable for design verification, product validation,
and industry certification.

Tooling
Our engineers can provide innovative design services for all your
tooling needs. We are experienced in design and fabrication of
assembly fixtures and test fixtures for electronic, mechanical,
hydraulic, and optical assemblies. In addition we can coordinate
the efforts of external tooling vendors.

Manufacturing
MEI provides customers with a wide range of electronic manufacturing
services including: SMT and Thru-Hole PCB assembly, electronic,
mechanical, hydraulic, and optical system assembly and final system
or box build. Our computerized MRP system maintains inventory
integrity whether your job is turn-key or consignment material.
Our ISO 9001 registered quality system assures your product will
always be manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Testing
PCB's, subassemblies, cables, or fully integrated systems. We
can provide manual to fully automated testing to guarantee you
receive a reliable working product. Our capabilities include electronic,
mechanical, hydraulic, and optical system testing. We will work
with you to develop SPC protocol to provide dock-to-stock product.

Project
Management
Our multi-disciplined and experienced team will be led by a Project
Manager. Operationg within the guidelines of our ISO 9001 registered
quality system and utilizing the latest project management tools,
the Project Manager will assure that you receive a quality product
on-time. If you desire, we can coordinate the UL or CE certification
process.

Clean Room Facility
MEI's clean room facility features both class 1000 and class 100 areas for assembly of high purity components for the semiconductor and bio-pharmaceutical industries. Clean room capabilities also include precision cleaning, 18 meg-ohm DI water rinsing, helium leak detection, and vacuum bagging.

Machine Shop
MEI's machine shop has selected HAAS CNC Equipment Automation; it includes the VF-3, Mini Mill Machining Centers, and a SL-10 CNC Lathe. Also available a manual lathe and Brideport manual mill with digital readout information.
